The trophies
The 2022 Awards
Every year, the Creazione festival recognises the island’s creators for their innovative work and originality in their chosen fields. This year, the young designer Aymeric Vinckier, from the PEPITE centre at the University of Corsica, will design the 2022 trophies.

They highlight the five elements that orbit the "C" in Creazione. This circular shape suggests renewal and the continuity of movement. The "C" is cut out to play on the object’s transparency. The letters "r e a z i o n e" are engraved at the base of the ‘C’ As the designer works with cardboard, the structure of the trophies is made of cardboard – an eco-friendly, recyclable and environmentally responsible material, locally sourced and repurposed. To add a touch of character, this structure is covered in wood (oak plywood). The type of award presented is engraved on the front of the plinths (Young Designer, Favourite Award, Fashion Jury Prize, Slow Made Prize, Design Jury Prize, Precious Room Prize by Muriel Piaser).
Aymeric Vinckier
My name is Aymeric VINCKIER and I became a cardboard artist to live more in line with my beliefs: to return to a more responsible way of life; to reduce my environmental impact; and to reuse whatever can be reused. I repurpose cardboard already available in Corsica to give it a new lease of life, creating bespoke furniture, signage and decorative items for private individuals, charities, local authorities and businesses. To make this career change, after 16 years in the microelectronics sector, I completed the Pôle Pépite course at the University of Corsica, qualifying with a D2E diploma, and in February 2019 I set up Fait de Carton, a sole trader business based in Corte.
