Bastia celebrates the Great Meal!
The Grand Repas is a citizen-friendly initiative that takes place every year in many different areas. In Bastia, a town renowned for its gastronomy and the quality of its many restaurants, the event takes on its full meaning: sharing a communal meal on the same day, inspired by local produce and know-how. Beyond the symbolic gesture, it's a celebration that highlights the richness of our terroir, reinforces Bastia's culinary identity and creates links between residents, chefs and restaurant professionals. This project is supported by the Town of Bastia, l’UMIH and the’Bastia Intercommunal Tourist Office, who are joining forces to promote Bastia's gastronomic culture.

The Grand Meal in Corsica
Corsica is a land where gastronomy is an integral part of cultural identity. Taking part in the Grand Repas en Corse means celebrating this richness, highlighting it and sharing it with as many people as possible.
Restaurant owners mobilised Corsican cuisine: traditional restaurants, brasseries, schools and local authorities are joining forces to offer the Grand Repas Corsican menu, giving everyone - locals and visitors alike - the chance to share a common experience.
Celebrating our culinary heritage You'll find a wide range of delicatessen products, including prisuttu, coppa and lonzu, sheep's and goat's cheeses, chestnut flour, Corsican wines, Cap Corse citrus fruits, PDO olive oils and honeys... all flavours that embody the diversity and excellence of Corsican production.
A civic moment The Grand Repas en Corse is not just about tasting. It's also an educational initiative, aimed at young people and the general public, to raise awareness of sustainable food, respect for seasonal produce and short distribution channels.
A unifying event Schools, colleges, secondary schools, universities, company restaurants, hospitals, retirement homes... The Grand Repas menu is served in a variety of settings, reinforcing the spirit of sharing and unity around the table.
The Grand Repas en Corse is a real celebration of Corsican gastronomy: it showcases local players, promotes culinary know-how and brings generations together around the same table, for one day.
