Hiking : the mill path
Departing from Grisgione, this hike plunges you into a peaceful setting between sea and scrubland. Through shady paths and ancient terraced gardens, it leads to the village of San Martino, offering superb views over the Lota valley.

📍Le Parcours
- Departure is from the Grisgione beach (Chemin du Chiusellu), where a sign says «San Martino Village - 1h».
- From here, take the path up through the scrubland. The climb begins gradually, in the shade on the north side.
- The path winds through typically Mediterranean vegetation, offering a calm and soothing atmosphere.
- Halfway along the route, you will come to an intersection:
on the left, you can reach Licciola and the Miomo navy, with its 16th-century Genoese tower
continue straight on to reach the village of San Martino - The path continues uphill to the village, crossing ancient terraced farmland. «lenze», These buildings bear witness to past rural activity.
- After approximately 1 hour walk, you reach San Martino di Lota, made up of several typical hamlets.
- From the village, enjoy a superb views over the Lota valley and the Tyrrhenian Sea. On a clear day, you can see the Italian coastline.
- The return journey takes the same route towards Grisgione.
- On the way back down, take time to observe the local flora and fauna, rich in endemic species.
- Arrival is at the Grisgione pebble beach, ideal for a well-deserved break or swim.
