Below the place du Donjon, the modern architecture of Mantinum contrasts with the medieval spirit of this heritage site. At the heart of this enchanting site, freshly inaugurated in 2020, a long column clinging to the rock contains a lift that takes visitors up to the the Aldilonda. Running along the rocky base of the Genoese citadel's ramparts, this aerial route offers a unique balcony between sky and sea, a few metres above the Tyrrhenian Sea, alongside the fortress. It's a unique and unusual walk above the waves, in one of the most spectacular sites in Europe. Corsica and Mediterranean.

Looking towards the’Tuscan archipelago, the place Saint-Nicolas is one of the largest esplanades in Europe.
