Marie-Pierre Nouveau
The truth lies just beneath the surface of the game.
In theatre, film and television alike, Marie-Pierre Nouveau has forged her own path, guided by her commitment, her quest for authenticity and her deep connection to Corsica. The patron of Creazione 2026 embodies an authentic approach to her art.
The daughter of a musician who went on to become a conductor at the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione and a mother devoted to bringing up her three children, the actress grew up surrounded by both freedom and strong principles. As a child, a speech impediment led her towards singing, with which she would long have an ambivalent relationship: «Singing brought out a flood of emotions in me,» confides the actress, who would later return to music.
After studying modern literature, Marie-Pierre Nouveau took to the stage. A failed audition in Paris for Phaedra, which she recalls with humour, taught her right from the start to put setbacks into perspective. Then came the decisive encounters: Arnaud Devolontat, for The Little Prince and Philippe Calvario for The Game of Love and Chance, two plays that would take him all over the world. Not to mention his time at the Actors Studio, where he worked on his emotional range.
An actress on the move
Long associated with comedy, Marie-Pierre’s career took a new turn in 2012 with The Anonymous, a TV film by Pierre Schoeller about the Erignac affair. Thierry de Peretti then cast him in one of the standout roles in’A turbulent life, in which she asserts herself with intensity, whilst her desire to write grows stronger.
Whilst in residence in Cargèse, the author is writing her own one-woman show, which forms the basis of her production The Inconstances, which will be performed in Corsican. She is currently working on a collaborative production, In the name of love, due to be staged in Avignon in 2027, and has returned to comedy with Licence to destroy (in cinemas on 1 July 2026) and*Clan 2*, by Éric Fraticelli.
At the same time, the actress is taking part, alongside Cristiana Reali, in the stage adaptation of the novel *Chiennes de garde*, which deals with violence against women, and has just completed Viewpoints, a comedy short film written and co-starring her partner Jean-Philippe Ricci.
Marie-Pierre Nouveau, who is familiar with Creazione – having discovered it alongside its patron, the 2016 edition’s patron – sees the festival as much more than just glamour. «I love its intergenerational aspect and the way it fosters dialogue between different sensibilities whilst showcasing young talent. » «Sharing is always a way of learning,» sums up the new patron, who, in Bastia, will champion a certain vision of art: accessible, generous and authentic.
Jeremy Banster
The Man Who Crosses
Actor, director, producer: Creazione’s new patron is guided by the stories he enjoys bringing to light, such as the encounters and places that move him deeply, with Corsica at the forefront.
In Cannes, where he received the ADAMI Young Talent Award in 1997, Jeremy still takes the time to chat between appointments, always welcoming and attentive to others. For over thirty years, the actor – who first came to the public’s attention for his roles in hit television series – has been broadening his horizons: on stage and on the big screen, in front of and behind the camera, but also as a screenwriter and producer. The son of an assistant director, trained at the École d’Art dramatique de la Ville de Paris, he founded his theatre company, Bensyl, in 1999 and very quickly began directing his own short films. His films already explore the human condition, its vulnerabilities and existential journeys, foreshadowing *La Vie pure*, his first feature film, which tells the story of the French explorer Raymond Maufrais. A sensitive work, at once raw and immersive, nominated for the 2016 Lumières Awards, which the director went on to shoot in the Amazon. « »Sharing is what drives me most,’ says the artist, whose career has branched out in many directions. ‘Whatever the medium, what interests me is telling a story and drawing attention to what deserves to be seen.’
Home port
In Corsica, Jeremy is no less committed to championing the projects close to his heart, including the documentary The Cry of the Seagulls, by Gisèle Casabianca, whom he was delighted to produce in 2022. When he speaks of our island, the scent of pine trees, swimming at Bravone and happy memories of Ghisonaccia, Solenzara and Tallone – where he spent his holidays as a child – immediately spring to mind. «Corsica is the place in the world where I feel most at home. I come back here to breathe, sail, work, write… It is also here that With all my heart scheduled for release in 2027« . For this feature film, which he has just completed as director and actor alongside Alice Pol, Michel Jonasz and Myriam Boyer, Jeremy drew inspiration from the experiences of his ancestors, members of the Resistance who were deported to Buchenwald and Mauthausen. «The story is that of a romantic relationship thwarted by family choices and the wounds of the past,» explains Jeremy, who describes himself as passionate about epigenetics, cellular memory and its influence on our lives. This is yet another journey into the human condition to which the patron of Creazione 2026 invites us, delighted to support our festival out of his love for Corsica. In Bastia, amidst cinema, fashion and photography, Jeremy Banster – whom we’ll see this autumn on TF1 in the series The Target, starring Tomer Sisley and Fauve Hautot, should feel right at home, having always worked at the crossroads of all forms of creativity.
Fred Meylan
With Fred Meylan as its first-ever «Image» patron, Creazione reaffirms its commitment to the visual arts. On Friday 12 June, from 2 pm, the festival is giving the photographer carte blanche; he will be leading a masterclass on the Terrasse des Nobles Douze, focusing on his craft and brand image.
It was at the age of 18, whilst doing his military service, that Fred Meylan, against all expectations, took up photography. Assigned to photography duties within the army for several months, he took his first photographs there before joining Sygma. Conflicts, current affairs, the Cannes Film Festival: whilst at the renowned press agency, the photographer honed his vision by developing an instinctive approach to the image.
As he gradually turned his attention to fashion in the mid-1990s, his timeless aesthetic made its mark in the world’s leading international magazines. Kate Moss, Penélope Cruz, Kendall Jenner, Isabelle Huppert and Virginie Efira have all posed for his camera, whilst iconic brands have entrusted him with their campaigns. «I’ve always tried to sense things before they happen. And my career has unfolded during an era characterised by a sense of freedom and carefree spirit," he sums up humbly.
In 2013, Fred Meylan set up his studio in a legendary location on Rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s Fashion District, and turned it into a vibrant, creative space that has become a benchmark in the industry.
Corsica: a breath of fresh air
Between Paris and Porto-Vecchio, where he spends several months a year, the fashion portraitist – no stranger to leading contemporary figures – has now found his balance. The sea, the wind and the Mediterranean light fuel his personal work exploring the body and water, a body of work he has been developing for over twenty years and which was recently exhibited in his Parisian studio, transformed into a gallery.
«The island is an incredibly inspiring playground,» says this sailing and water sports enthusiast, who, in Corsica, collaborates with Calarena and Mare di Latte, whilst regularly producing work for major brands such as Clarins.
In Bastia, for Creazione, Fred Meylan hopes to make his very first masterclass a fruitful and authentic opportunity for exchange. Film, digital, artificial intelligence: our guest intends to share forty-five years of experience, discussing art and technique, of course, but also – and above all – listening to the audience, answering questions, offering insights, sharing ideas and offering encouragement…
Joining him will be his wife Carol Gerland, a former top model who previously worked in the communications department at Zadig & Voltaire and is now an artistic director for renowned fashion houses; she will enrich the discussion with her experience of creative campaigns and brand image.
