It is at the very heart of history, amidst walls steeped in memory, where Bastia made its name, where it reveals itself, proudly, through the lens of the centuries, that Creazione, for the first time in 2015, set down its trunks, set up its spotlights and unpacked all its treasures.
The fashion and design festival was born, and its perfect setting was already in place: a royal palace, a place of influence…
The place where all power resides. Starting with the power to create.
Women, men, expertise
Leaving their workshops behind, artists and craftspeople, fashion designers and pattern-makers, graphic designers and designers, jewellers and leatherworkers gather there every year.
They all embody Corsica just as much as they draw inspiration from it.
In their hands lies an infinite and multifaceted island, made up of striking images and soft fabrics, divinely adorned or subtly stripped bare, an island of natural essences and wonders…
To be shared just as we share good times: simply.
Our designers
Precious, delicate, sparkling, colourful, vibrant and unique, the jewellery painstakingly crafted by the island’s designers makes for truly extraordinary pieces.
A festival without borders
There, beneath an 18th-century painting hanging on the picture rails, stands a clothes rack…
The eras converge.
And a dialogue unfolds between two exhibition spaces.
We discuss processes, techniques and materials… Whilst visitors stop by, listen, look and touch, before striking up a conversation with their hosts.
A showroom in a museum? Even the Genoese governors themselves – the former owners of the premises – would be amazed!
The large family of Corsican designers stole the show!
And for 72 hours, it’s everywhere: day and night, in the museum, in its courtyard and right up to the hanging gardens, which, in an intimate and welcoming setting, host the festival’s musical interludes, with a focus too on Bastia by night.
Car Creazione is an occasion for concerts and night-time parades, as well as big parties with champagne, beer and wine bars…
