A History of Tradition... Lucky charm, called breve, abitinu or scapular. Made in Corsica with respect for tradition and under the influence of secret incantations (ochju). Since the dawn of time, our ancestors have made amulets to protect us from the evil eye (malochju), a belief present throughout the Mediterranean basin. A small white cloth bag (symbol of purity) sewn with red thread (the colour of blood, symbol of life) that was traditionally worn close to the body. This scapular contains various protective elements: - Coral: belonging to the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms... Is a powerful match. - Salt is a symbol of life and protects against the evil eye. - Olive leaves, wheat and rice bring peace, strength and abundance. - The Virgin Mary, patron saint of Corsica, reminds us that the island has always enjoyed her gentle protection.
