Whether at Bastia or in the villages that surround it, the Bastia Country local shops and grocery shops offer a wide range of products, including typical products to discover by following a trail combining craftsmanship and design. Made in the villages of the hinterland, its mountain charcuterie smoked in chestnut wood is available in a number of renowned products: the coppa, lonzu, prisuttu, figatellu and salciccia worked by the local craftsmen who keep the inland towns alive.
The organic fruit and vegetables, the sheep's milk cheeses and goat which bear the hallmark of the region, can be found at traditional markets where products can be discovered in a warm, typically Mediterranean atmosphere.
Locals and visitors mingle in the aisles, where you can enjoy a platter of cold meats, a local beer or a fine vintage wine and «fà a spesa» (go shopping), and chat with the producers.
