Romieu Garden

It is a haven of greenery between the Citadel district and the Old Port.

Overlooking the quays, the Romieu garden was designed in the second half of the 19th century by the Bastia architect Paul-Augustin Viale. From its belvedere, the Romieu staircase winds between the standing vases, statues, the fountain and the long wrought iron railings which trace a bucolic passage under the trees with a view of the sea. An ideal place for a green stopover in front of the incessant ballet of ships.
