Description:

Our walk begins in the narrow streets of the village, dominated by the Paoline tower built on the ruins of an ancient castle. After wandering through a maze of narrow passages dominated by tall houses peering out over the horizon, we'll take a very old communication route linking Biguglia, the ancient capital of Corsica. Along the way, we'll discover ancient agricultural areas where cereals, olive groves, chestnut groves and vines were grown. Extraordinary views will punctuate our breaks and discussions. The highlight of our walk will be the medieval chapel of Santa Maria, set on a hillside overlooking the sea and surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. Its magnificent frescoes are listed as historic monuments. The return journey takes you through scrubland and woodland, with plenty of surprises along the way.

Highlights:

Furiani, a town best known for its football stadium, is first and foremost a medieval village clinging to a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. We invite you to discover this little-known Furiani, steeped in battles and acts of war, occupying a strategic position at the gates of Bastia, but also a Furiani with an important agro-pastoral past, between sea, pond, plain and mountains.

Cancellation policy For cancellations received more than 48 hours in advance, the Bastia Intercommunal Tourist Office undertakes to reimburse the customer in full. After this period, 50% will be deducted from the total amount paid. Refunds will be made within a maximum of 8 days. Cancellations must be made by e-mail to the following address: accueil@bastia-tourisme.corsica or by telephone on 04 95 54 20 49.

The Bastia Intercommunal Tourist Office may have to cancel a tour for reasons beyond its control (weather conditions, insufficient number of participants, etc.), in which case customers will receive a full refund. In this case, customers will be contacted by telephone.
