Description:

We start our walk from the village of Mandriale, whose name brings to mind the herds of goats that once roamed our steep terrain. To punctuate our wild, rocky hike, we'll take a break near the chapel of San Ghjuvanni (St John), set on a green flat, like an oasis in the desert. Its cool fountain will quench our thirst and we'll continue on our way, changing slope. On the «sulana» (adret) side, the old cereal fields will tell us all about the farmers of yesteryear. Finally, we'll discover the village of Figarella and its «Americans», local children who left to make their fortune in the New World.

Highlights:

This walk will take us between two worlds, that of the shepherds climbing through the maquis and that of the sailors who sailed to neighbouring Tuscany. A true discovery of cultural and agro-pastoral heritage.

Tariff: 15 €/person
Free for children under 12.
