The route starts in the village of Mandriale and leads up to the Chapelle Saint-Jean at an altitude of 793 metres.
This year-round hike offers panoramic views of the hamlets of Mandriale, Anneto and Castagneto, as well as the islands of Capraia and Elba.
As you climb the old communication route, you'll also be able to appreciate the village's rural heritage: fountains, wash-houses, old buildings, etc...
When you arrive, why not take a contemplative break in these superb surroundings or enjoy a picnic overlooking the sea.
Every year in May, the rustic chapel of Saint-Jean welcomes the inhabitants of the Lota valley on a pilgrimage.
