Visit the city as a couple
Bastia is a beautiful destination to discover for two, as much for the charm of its narrow streets as for its heritage full of history. Stroll through the different districts of the town, from the Citadel to the Old Port, via Place Saint-Nicolas, which has become one of the essential meeting places for the people of Bastia. Don’t miss rue César Campinchi and Boulevard Paoli for a shopping spree or rue Napoléon to discover the delicatessens and other gourmet addresses... all of which invite you to window-shop.
Don’t forget to go to Place du Marché at the weekend to discover the local producers’ market. Our pleasure: stroll through the stalls of Corsican products while nibbling on good Brocciu doughnuts, Migliaccioli or even a few slices of Coppa while enjoying the gentle atmosphere of the early Mediterranean morning.

Sharing a breakfast by the water
Fancy a breakfast on the terrace in an idyllic setting? You’ll find what you’re looking for on the Old Port! Gently awakened by the sun’s rays, you will enjoy watching the return of the fishermen’s boats while savouring a good coffee, accompanied by croissants and Canistrelli. The beautiful view of the pleasure boats, the colourful facades of the Bastia houses and the gentle atmosphere of Bastia in the morning are part of those special moments in the morning that we love so much!
Declare your love in Bastia
If you are looking for the most beautiful viewpoint in Bastia to declare your love or to take a successful selfie, head for the Citadel ! Close to the Governors’ Palace, you will find a terrace with an exceptional view of the sea and the Old Port. It is a privileged place to slip in a few words of love or simply enjoy the present moment with a superb panoramic view in the background. In the early morning, choose the Aldilonda, the footbridge over the water that runs along the ramparts of the Citadel, which offers you the most beautiful sight: a sunrise with the islands of the Tuscan archipelago in the background.

Escape to small heavenly coves
Close to Bastia, Cap Corse is full of magical places that are still wild and where it is pleasant to stop and share a moment together, out of time. Far from the popular beaches of the coastline, you will find a multitude of small isolated coves near the town, ideal for a relaxing break.
Accessible during your walks along the water’s edge, they are also sublime to discover by the sea, standing on a paddle, at full speed on a jet-ski or in a tandem kayak! Take advantage of this beautiful escape to stop for lunch in one of the fishing villages of the Cape: lobster, denti, lobsters… to be savoured with a good Corsican wine!

Take her to see the sunset on the crests
If Bastia offers splendid sunrises with the Tuscan archipelago in the background… What about sunsets? Only 20 minutes by car is the ideal place to enjoy this gift of nature on the ridges. Take the road leading from the centre of Bastia towards Saint-Antoine to reach the Teghime pass. Pass the memorial building with a cannon and park in the car park below. You will love the red sun setting over the Gulf of Saint-Florent on one side, and on the other, the Bastia region illuminated at nightfall. Our advice: make yourself a little “Nustrale” picnic to accompany this moment of pure happiness!

Savour exceptional ice creams
Ice creams in Bastia… it’s an institution! When the call of the taste buds is felt, the quest for tasty and artisanal ice creams becomes more than urgent. It’s a good thing, there are some very good ice-cream parlours all over town.
These artisan ice-cream makers offer a huge choice of creative flavours all year round, with delicious ice cream sundaes. Nuciola, Brocciu and citron, Canistrelli de Zilia… they make you want to come back and taste them all!
Drinks and dinner for two in Bastia
Are you looking for a place to go out in the evening in Bastia? To have a drink with your partner, several addresses are recommended. Go to Place du Marché or Place Saint-Nicolas, where you can eat on the go on the terrace in cosy café-bistros. If you prefer concept stores where you can buy while having a drink, you can go to the unusual and trendy rue Napoléon!
The Old Port, with its many restaurants and cafés, is also very popular with the Bastians, who like to meet there for an aperitif !
